Rapper/actor Common, his daughter Omoye,14, and some family friends were in attendance for the premiere of “Happy Feet Two” on November 13, 2011 in Hollywood, California.
Common makes his animated voice-acting debut in the film as Seymour, the dad of young Atticus. The part of Atticus is voiced by child star Lil P-Nut.
“I never thought I’d get to play the role of a dancing, singing, rapping penguin,” Common says. “I watched the first movie, and it moved me, so to be able to be a part of that legacy was really exciting.”
The film also features the voices of Elijah Wood, Robin Williams, Hank Azaria, Alecia Moore (P!nk), Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Sofia Vergara, Hugo Weaving, Richard Carter, Magda Szubanski, and Anthony LaPaglia.
