BEYONCE DEBUTS POST-BABY BODY + JAY-Z PERFORMS ODE TO DAUGHTER

Shawn Corey Carter, a.k.a. Jay-Z, performed “Glory” at Carnegie Hall on Monday, February 6, 2012. Beyonce attended in support of her husband. Knowles’ attendance at the performance is the first time that the singer has been seen in public since giving birth to 1-month-old Blue Ivy Carter. When commenting about performing the song, Jay-Z said, “I didn’t think I was going to make it through that one. That was tough.”

Carter is one of two hip-hop artists to ever perform at Carnegie Hall. His appearance was part of a two-night effort to benefit the United Way of New York City and the Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation. Students from Carter’s foundation attended and Alicia Keys was also present at the event.
