Wyclef Jean and his daughter, Angelina, were two cool people last night as they showed love and support for ‘After Earth’ at Ziegfeld Theatre in New York City. The father and daughter wore sunglasses as they showed off their black and pink wear. Wyclef’s wife, Marie, added to the style mix with a Luis Vuitton bag and leather jacket.
Jean recently talked with the press about his highly publicized attempt to become a politician as president of Haiti saying, “I made the transition from musician to statesman to musician. How many people can say they did that?”
All eyes were on the celeb-turned-activist in 2010 when he announced that he would be running for president of Haiti after the country experienced one of the worst natural disasters in its history. Jean was ultimately denied the right to run for political office by the country’s board of elections but remained optimistic about the future and committed to the re-building of Haiti.
Wyclef wed Marie in 1994. The couple adopted Angelina in 2005, and renewed their vows in 2009.
