Days after Kim Kardashian and Kanye West announced their daughter’s unique name, the reality star’s mother has gone on the defensive to explain the meaning behind it. Kris Jenner recently stopped by ‘The View’ to talk about the joyous occasion of birth and why she loves the name, North.
“I love the name North. I’m pro North, absolutely,” said Kris. “The way [Kim] explained it to me was that North means highest power, and she says that North is their highest point together and I thought that was really sweet.”
Jenner added of the name,”It’s North West, but you don’t walk around calling somebody, ‘Hi North West.’ It’s just North.” According to the proud grandmother, Kanye and Kim have no middle name for their daughter, but they do have a nickname.
Kim and Kanye welcomed North into the world on June 15, 2013. She is their first child together.
