Halle Berry doubled as the expectant mom and ‘Storm’ at this year’s comic con in San Diego, California. The actress lit up the room as she made her first public appearance since returning from France with husband Olivier Martinez. Berry, who is expecting her second child with her newlywed hubby, answered all questions pertaining to X-Men and looked stunning while doing so.
When asked about the things she loves and hates about her character, Halle told the crowd that Storm’s ability to be both calm and fierce have her sold. “She’s like the Earth Mother of the group. And I think that’s part of my own personality that resonates and what attracted me to Storm in the beginning. She’s usually the calm, cool voice of reason. Besides being a bada** when she needs to be, she’s kind of the mom of the group.” Berry went on to say, “What I hate about Storm, is that she never gets any love.” Halle told her adoring fans that she’d take a crack at portraying Mystique if given the opportunity, which was a comment that made the crowd roar.
Halle and husband Olivier Martinez wed last week in beautiful France with the actress’ daughter, Nahla, by their side. The happy couple are expecting a boy.
