Fans of Whitaker will get to see him in action as he portrays Cecil Gaines in the highly anticipated film, The Butler. Forest will star as the main character, taking moviegoers on a journey through the civil rights movement and other monumental events in United States history.

Although many parts of the movie may catch the attention of viewers for split seconds in time, Forest told Shadow and Act that the diversity of characters will be the deal sealer that will captivate audiences for the film’s duration. “That we can have films that depict this particular character who happens to be a butler or this particular character who happens to be human rights leader or this particular character who happens to be a slave or this particular character who happens to be a drug dealer. I think the palate of diversity is what people really want. They want to see all the faces of who they are,” said the actor.

Forest and wife Keisha have two kids-Sonnet and True-together. Forest has a son named Ocean and Keisha has a daughter named Autumn from previous relationships. The Butler will be open to the general audience on Friday, August 16, 2013.
