Kandi Burruss is passionate about education and wants the kids in her community to go back to school in style. The singer and entrepreneur recently hosted a “Back to School Jam” where hundreds of children were given all of the supplies needed to thrive this academic year. From backpacks to crayons, every child in attendance was showered with gifts and love from the ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ star who is also a mother.
In fact, Riley was right by mom’s side as Kandi endowed the kids in her community with much needed supplies. The tween also participated in the charitable event, giving out gifts and taking pictures with guests while wearing a big smile.
This was the first year that Burruss held a back-to-school giveaway that blessed children of single parent homes. The star knows what it means to be a single parent, and discusses her experiences as such with media every now and again.
Riley is Kandi and ex-boyfriend Russell “Block” Spencer’s only child together. The celeb is currently engaged to’Real Housewives of Atlanta’ producer, Todd Tucker.
