It was a day of fun in the sun for Ne-Yo and his family who joined hundreds in celebrating the National Day for Kids on Saturday (September 7). The event was held at Piedmont Park in Atlanta, and raised awareness about the Boys & Girls Club of America.

Ne-Yo held his daughter tightly as he walked around the park, enjoying the sites and company of other attendees before participating in a friendly game of tug of war. Monyetta Shaw later held both Madilyn and Mason as she struck a pose for the camera. Ne-Yo has expressed the joys of parenting on several occasions telling media that fatherhood is about being present. “Whenever holidays roll around where I can just be home, that’s all I really want to do,” said the artist a few months back. “I can’t tell you how many times my mom had to take on the role of dad, and I never want my kids to go through that.”
