To commemorate Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service, the first family participated in a service project at the D.C. Central Kitchen, where they prepared meals for distribution to local homeless shelters. Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama and their daughters Malia and Sasha donned their aprons and worked the line, preparing burritos along with other volunteers.
