Ray Allen and family pose at the ‘Ray of Hope Golf Classic’ on January 27, 2013. The sports player and his clan held the classic in hopes of raising awareness and funds for Diabetes research. Ray apparently did a splendid job as his event gave knowledge to many and raised nearly $500,000 for research.  Hublot partnered with the Allens in their efforts to spread the word about Diabetes and its effects, donating three watches that were auctioned off at significant prices.

Ray and his wife, Shannon, have been advocates for Diabetes awareness and healthy living since their son, Walker, was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes a few years back. Shannon has shared tips on healthy living with moms looking to provide better nutrition to their families, while Ray has used his influence as a star athlete to bring the subject of diabetes into public arenas.
