What did Marlon Wayans’ son do to make him cry? He expressed pure gratitude to his dad. The actor recently told the Huff Post that Shawn gave him a Father’s Day card that was filled with love.
“[He] wrote me this card,” said Wayans. “And in the card, he expressed how much he appreciated all that I do as a father, just how much work I put in, and how great I am, and how I teach him to be a man.”
The actor continued, “He wrote about all things that he was grateful for…I cried because I was like, ‘Wow, my son. Never mind the Jordan collection I bought him, but the fact that he appreciates the small things’…That warmed my heart, brought me to tears.”
Shawn certainly gets his heart of gratitude from dad. “I don’t pray and ask God for things,” the actor shared with Huff Post. “When I pray, I pray to thank God.”
Marlon fathers two kids, Shawn and Amai, with wife Angelica.
