Vanessa Simmons and baby Ava were quite busy during Fashion Week for Spring 2015 in New York City. The reality star supported her little sister, Angela, who has a fashion line of her own, and hosted the first ‘Street Style Block Party’ presented by ESSENCE.
Ava and Vanessa did a little mother-daughter runway action at Angela’s ‘Back To The Basics’ fashion show. The new mom carried her daughter as she strutted down the strip while wearing one of Angela’s creations. At one point Vanessa stopped to strike a pose, and Ava also gazed at photographers while sucking on her pacifier. Vanessa made sure her daughter was dressed to impress with a beautiful white outfit and matching headband. Rev Run and other members of the Simmons family were also in attendance at Angela’s show.
In addition to supporting her sister, Vanessa served as host of the ‘Street Style Block Party.’ The event was the first of its kind presented by ESSENCE, and featured a special performance by Jasmine Sullivan along with remarks from Chirlane McCray. Tracee Ellis Ross was also a guest at the event and made a surprise appearance during the ‘Street Style Fashion Show’ segment.
Ava is Vanessa’s first child with boyfriend Mike Wayans. The little one was born on February 13, 2014.
