Yesterday, October 5 marked Mattel’s 15th Annual Party on the Pier event, hosted by Sarah Michelle Gellar, to benefit the UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital. The day of family fun is always open to the public, with tons of rides and carnival games, arts and crafts and sweet treats. And of course, meeting your favourite young celebrities is a major attraction, as well.
Skai Jackson, star of Jessie, and Mekai Curtis of Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day, both came out to show their support.
Money raised truly goes to making a difference, supporting inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and gene-therapy programs, research on autism-associated epilepsy, and treatments to improve immune function for children who have undergone chemotherapy and bone-marrow transplants.
