As the father of three very independent children, Snoop Dogg knows a thing or two about parenting. The rapper recently gave good friend Deion Sanders advice about his 14-year-old son, Shilo, who expressed his desire to pursue a career as a rapper during a recent episode of ‘Deion’s Family Playbook.’
“You know it hurts you as a father that they’re not going down the path that you want,” said Sanders to Snoop. The Hip Hop mogul replied to his friend by giving a bit of encouragement. “You helped him find his way,” said the rapper. “As a father, you have to let him walk his own path. You’ve got to let him go into uncharted territory.”
Snoop has certainly let his children go into uncharted territory. The artist has a son who is well on his way to being the next NFL sensation, and a daughter who recorded several a hit song before celebrating her thirteenth birthday. Snoop and wife Shante Broadus parent two sons, Corde and Cordell, and one daughter, Cori, together.
