UPCOMING: NADEJ K. BAILEY LANDS A ROLE IN NEW CIVIL RIGHTS DRAMA, SELMA

Nadej K. Bailey is currently flourishing on the new supernatural series, Resurrection, and has now been added to the cast of the upcoming Martin Luther King Jr. biopic, Selma.

The film will follow the marches in Selma that were so significant to America’s civil rights movement. The film will also portray the bombing of a Selma Baptiste church frequented by MLK Jr. and other civil rights activists. The explosion killed four young girls, one of which will be played by Nadej. The moment was a turning point in the movement that would forever change America and American ideologies.

The film will be directed by Ava DuVernay and boasts a large cast including: David Oyelowo as MLK Jr., as well as Cuba Gooding Jr., Oprah Winfrey, and Common. Other young stars billed for the drama include Trinity Simone and Jordan Christina Rice.

Meanwhile, Resurrection has been renewed for a second season and Nadej will also be starring in the 2015 comedy, The Productive Lie alongside Mike Ray and Tony Vaughn.
