The 23rd Trumpet Awards ended on a high note with Jamie Foxx and Annalise Bishop stirring up emotions. The Annie co-star was the recipient of the Pinnacle Award, and few were able to hold back the tears.
Annalise, along with other children, had words before Jamie took the stage. The actor’s youngest daughter had only good things to say about her father when given the opportunity. Jamie was brought to tears by his princess and the applause of attendees, which was resounding.
The Pinnacle Award is reserved for the celebrity who has managed to reach the highest height of his or her career. Jamie was recognized as one who has achieved much in the industry at this year’s Trumpet Awards, after starring in several hit films and winning an Academy Award.
Quvenzhane Wallis was onstage to help Jamie celebrate at the awards ceremony. The young star acted alongside Foxx in the 2014 re-make of Annie, which has garnered much attention from fans and an Academy Award nomination.
