Zion Marley is officially a high school graduate! The son of Lauryn Hill and Rohan Marley was joined by his parents and siblings at his graduation ceremony on Thursday.
“FULL JOY TO WITNESS ANOTHER STEP ONWARD,” proud papa Rohan wrote on his Instagram page. He continued, “‘Graduation time’ BLESSED HEART MY SON ZION.” Rohan also shared a picture of Zion standing next to a yard sign that read, “Congratulations Zion.”
It was just a few weeks ago that Zion escorted his date to prom in a Rolls Royce. The teen took a number of pictures with the family before heading off to the event. “It’s the Zion show,” shared Rohan at the time. “A very responsible young man … making all the #MarleyBoys proud,” added the star.
Many reminisced about the song that Lauryn Hill wrote in her son’s honor shortly before giving birth to Zion seventeen years ago during Zion’s prom. Hill was telling her then-unborn child in the song that he was already her world’s joy. We can only imagine how the R&B singer feels now!
Zion is one of five children that Lauryn Hill and Rohan Marley share. Hill has six kids in all.
