Little Heavenly asks the woman why she ensures that superficial things are in order while her health possibly deteriorates. “Mommy, how come you took your phone to the doctor when it got hurt, and you haven’t took yourself yet,” inquires Heavenly in the video. The question puts a thought on the woman’s mind, and the scene moves on to feature women who have survived breast cancer.

Joy Enriquez told fans that she was inspired to partner with the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) and dedicate ‘Shine’ to the cause after hearing a family friend’s story of survival. “Imagine the surprise when my friend Verna, a wonderful mother and strong woman whom I respect so much, started crying as she listened to my new song #Shine,” shared Joy.

“Verna then confided in me her recent battle with #BreastCancer and told me that this song reminded her of everything she’s gone through and how lucky and blessed she is to overcome it by the grace of God. Instantly, I knew what I had been called to do with this song, and our team set out to create a campaign to help #Shine a light on breast cancer awareness so that women everywhere can feel the hope, strength, and courage that I felt when listening to Verna’s story.”

Joy’s friend is one of many breast cancer conquerors featured in the video. Check out ‘Shine’ below!
