Charity runs deep in the Dash family. Ava, daughter of Damon Dash and Rachel Roy, proves that to be true with her many contributions to society. The teen recently attended Jessica Alba’s celebration of Honest Beauty with her mom that included the launching of #letsbehonest.
Alba’s new campaign esteems natural beauty. The actress’ company, Honest Beauty, has made it their mission to use organic ingredients when making products. The line does not claim to be a natural collection but boasts of leaving parabens and silicones out of their mixtures when crafting foundations, sunscreens and other commodities that women use on a daily basis. The latest company update includes an app that mirrors Ipsy by allowing users to subscribe for monthly cosmetic deliveries.
Like Honest Beauty, Ava has also been hard at work. It was just last month that the youngster partnered with the Teen Project to give underprivileged girls the benefit of beautifully decorated living quarters. “When I learned about The Teen Project, I was really touched by the fact that so many people my age are not exposed to all of the things I have been through my mom,” said Dash of the partnership. “A lot of people don’t even have the comfort of a home and family as a foundation,” the teen added.
Ava is Rachel Roy’s oldest daughter with Damon Dash. Rachel also has a younger daughter named Tallulah with her ex-husband.
