Just Married! Crystal Renay and Ne-Yo tied the knot on Saturday, and are looking forward to a lifetime with one another. The newlywed couple told media all about their courtship and wedding prior to sharing their vows.
“When I went to my first fitting, I had actually just found out the day before that I was pregnant, so from the beginning of the whole dress process, we knew that it would be a growing belly,” Crystal said. The Instagram model announced her and Ne-Yo’s expectancy last year. “I’m nine months pregnant – I’m nervous about falling on my face,” she shared with PEOPLE.
Ne-Yo also commented on his nuptials by telling media, “This is big for me. I’m not doing this again, so I’m happy that my family and friends are able to be there to share this moment with us.”
While many family members and friends were in attendance at the couple’s wedding, Ne-Yo’s kids with children’s author Monyetta Shaw celebrated their father’s big day from afar. Monyetta gave fans an explanation as to why Madilyn and Mason were absent from the event. “Not that it’s anyone’s business I have a few secs to entertain since we are all done with these school visits for today,” she wrote on Instagram. “Any involved parent in search for the best school for their children knows how important this process is and I don’t take it lightly.”
Shaw further explained, “My #1 concern & priority are my kids! NOTHING will EVER change that!!! Anyway, the kids are excited and looking forward 2 spending time with their father, new little brother and step-mom this summer.”
Ne-Yo and Crystal’s newborn will be their first child together. The bundle of joy will make Ne-Yo a father for the third time.
