Dante Brown is “riding the waves” as the newest cast member of Fox’s hour-long pilot of Lethal Weapon.
Based on the hit movie franchise, the show will be about Texas cop and former Navy SEAL Martin Riggs who moves to Los Angeles after suffering the loss of his wife and child. He joins the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) where he is partnered with detective Roger Murtaugh (Damon Wayans) who has suffered a minor heart attack and must avoid stress at all costs. Unfortunately, it seems that tension and heartache call these cops’ names as they encounter some of the more crazier things Los Angeles has to offer.
Dante Brown will star alongside Damon Wayans as detective Murtaugh’s son. The youngster is a fairly newcomer to the industry, though he has starred alongside Craig Robinson on NBC’s Mr. Robinson and made a guest appearance on Showtime’s Shameless. Brown also was the lead character, Darius McCrae, on NBC’s Law & Order: SVU’s hard hitting, emotional episode, “Transgender Bridge”.
