Eddie Murphy and girlfriend Paige Butcher are expecting a baby girl to arrive in coming weeks. The comedian was spotted while out with his partner in Beverly Hills on Tuesday, and Paige shared the gender of her little one with media.
“Is it a boy or girl,” a reporter asked. “Everybody wants to know,” he added. Paige told awaiting fans that she was expecting “a girl” after being encouraged by Eddie to share. Fans were also desirous to hear what projects Murphy had in the vault, but the entertainer told the reporter that he was “retired.”
Paige’s reluctance to share the baby’s gender stems from her desire to maintain privacy. “I had Facebook for about a year, then I moved on to Instagram, got rid of both, went to Twitter, then eventually got rid of all of them,” she shared in 2013. “I’m in a relationship with a celebrity, so I felt like there’s already enough of me out there,” Paige added. “I felt like I was giving out too much information. I was giving people too much access. I like to keep as much private as possible now.”
Paige and Eddie announced their expectancy last November. This will be the couple’s first child together. Eddie Murphy is presently the father of eight kids.
