School is back in session for Monica Brown’s kids. The singer shared pictures from her sons’ first day of classes.

“Family First Forever,” Monica shared along with a picture of her and the kids. Nakesha Ward, wife of rapper 2Chainz, was also featured in the photo with her three kids. Monica uploaded another picture of her son, Romelo, hanging out in a tree. “Just in case you were wondering where Romelo was in our last pic… He was hanging around !! Literally,” Brown shared.

Monica is a very involved parent who doesn’t sacrifice precious moments with her kids for moments in the spotlight. “I don’t mind sacrificing work because the moments missed in a child’s life you can never get back,” the singer said during an interview with Uptown.

“Moms on the go are stretched in lots of directions, but I’ve found so many peaceful moments in the time my children and I spend talking, discussing real feelings, what life is to them, and their view just as well as what it is to me. You would be surprised how much your children acknowledge and appreciate about what you contribute.”

Monica has one child, Laiyah, with husband Shannon Brown. The singer’s sons, Romelo and Rodney Jr., are her kids from a previous relationship.
