Fabolous and his son, Johan, brought their version of coolness to this year’s Video Music Awards (VMA). The rapper and his youngster took to the red carpet rocking casual wear with a bit of bling.
Johan’s watch matched his gold blazer and his dad’s black denim. Fabolous placed a loving hand on his son’s shoulder while taking pictures at the ceremony.
This year’s VMAs were spectacular. Beyonce and Rihanna took command of the stage with hit performances. Bey, in particular, made the most of her sixteen minutes with songs from her Lemonade visual album and excerpts of poetry written by Warsan Shire. The singer switched out a few words to her lyrics so that they were television appropriate.
Sharing every moment of the VMAs with his son must have been the highlight of Fabolous’ night. The rapper shared his passion for parenthood with Instagram fans last year. “I come from a generation and environment where Fathers weren’t very present in the lives of children for whatever reason,” he explained. “I love being a part of my kids’ life and see no other way,” he added.
Fabolous is the proud father of two kids. Johan celebrated his eighth birthday in February while the youngster’s little brother, Jonas, rang in his first birthday in June.
