Draya Michele is the doting mom. The businesswoman gives the scoop on her life as the parent of a newborn.
“Everything is so great with him,” Draya says of her infant son, Jru. “He is an amazing baby,” she adds. “I love being a new mom all over again; it’s really fun. I have a lot of help from my big son.”
Draya was hard at work promoting her new swimwear line, Mint Swim, during her expectancy. “A Mint Swim store is definitely in the plan,” Michele reveals. She further explains, “I wouldn’t start the company just to make a quick buck or to say I have a business. It’s something that I love, and I live, breathe, and eat it, and I think that my supporters that follow me, they can see that and they can tell. So, Mint Swim is just a genuine company altogether.”
Although she is passionate about her brand, Draya doesn’t sacrifice quality time with her family for career advancement. “Orlando and I have just come to the conclusion that we have to set time for each other, for our kids, and for our family,” the celebrity mom says. “So that’s what we’ve been doing; we work on our time management, and make sure we have time for our kids.”
Jru is Draya Michele’s first child with fiance Orlando Scandrick. The celebrity mom also has a 13-year-old son named Kniko from a previous relationship.
