Known for her activism and support of young women around the world, sixteen-year-old actress Yara Shahidi attended the 1st Annual Marie Claire Young Women’s Honors, which was held on November 19th at the Marina del Rey Marriott in Marina del Rey, CA.
The young actress/activist looked stunning on the red carpet, at the event presented by Clinique, as she posed for pics sporting her natural locks and a Tadashi Shoji Resort 2017 floral ruffle dress. “I love my curls so much,” Shahidi commented in an interview with ESSENCE Live. “It’s cool to feel like people are accepting it and it is something that they like.
