Ahead of the Golden Globe awards, actress Saniyya Sidney, Hollywood’s newest darling, attended the 17th Annual AFI Awards on January 6th at the Four Seasons Hotel in Los Angeles, CA. The talented ten-year-old not only had the opportunity to mix and mingle with Hollywood’s A-list, but she also shared a touching moment with Hollywood elite, Denzel Washington, with whom she costars in the box office hit, Fences.
Sidney’s career shot off like a rocket with her first project, The Babysitters, in 2012. Since then, she has gone on to on to play “Young Kizzy” in Roots and Taraji P. Henson’s daughter in Hidden Figures. In addition to her heavy-weight big-screen credits, Sidney has also appeared in four episodes of FX’s American Horror Story.
Currently attending a performing arts school, the young rising star plans to study her craft so that in the next five years, she will be at the helm of it all. We have no doubt that this young lady is headed straight for the top.
