NELLA THE PRINCESS KNIGHT RIDES INTO NICKELODEON FOR PRESCHOOLERS

Preschoolers and parents alike should definitely mark their calendars for February 6th 10AM (ET/PT) when Nella the Princess Knight premieres on Nickelodeon.

The new 40 episode half-hour animated series will take preschoolers on thrilling adventures, following 8-year-old Nella who possesses both qualities of princess and knight. Problems start to arise for the little royal one when she embarks upon a daring quest to save her kingdom. Leading up to the premiere, NickJr.com and the NickJr app will both feature exclusive content including a full-length episode, in addition to original pieces of short-form content. Both NickJr.com and the NickJr app will also launch a new game inspired by the show in which players will ride to help Nella return sleeping dragons to their homes. The show will feature a social-emotional curriculum that promotes self-confidence, inclusiveness and compassion for others.

Robert Vargas, head writer for Zack and Quack, will serve as an executive producer for the new series which was created by Christine Ricci. Nella the Princess Knight is the latest series to join the preschool roster alongside PAW Patrol, Blaze and the Monster Machines and Shimmer and Shine. Akira Golz will voice the role of the young princess. Nella the Princess Knight will launch internationally in spring 2017.
