On February 15, 2017, celebrities filled NYC’s Skylight Clarkson Sq, but it was their children who stole the spotlight. Hosted by celebrity photographer Nigel Barker, the show featured attire from some of the top clothing brands, including Nike, Jordan, Adidas, Hurley, Levis, and Converse. While most of the tots strutted, waddled, and even cart wheeled down the runway with their partners, some were accompanied by their parents.
It turns out that these fashionable kids weren’t only good at rocking the cat walk! The Little Ladies of “One of a Kind” Dance Crew of the J&L Dance Performance Arts Center stopped the show with their hip hop dance number. Rapper Sky Katz also made an appearance during the show, winning the hearts of women in the audience with her new single “Beautiful Girl.”
This year, all proceeds from the Rookie USA show will go to the Make-A- Wish Foundation, a non-profit organization devoted to granting wishes of children suffering from life-threatening medical conditions.
