China Anne McClain is about to embark upon another exciting role-superhero’s daughter!
It was recently announced that the Descendants 2 star will join the CW’s Black Lightening, portraying the role of Jennifer Pierce, daughter of Jefferson Pierce, the wanted vigilante DC legend Black Lightening.
McClain, in addition to her older sister Anissa, played by Nafessa Williams, in the comic, follow in their fathers’ footsteps, becoming superheroes themselves, Lightening and Thunder.
Black Lightening will be written by Mara Brock Akil and Salim Akil, noted alumni from Being Mary Jane. So far, there has only been a pilot order for the series, but fingers crossed that it makes the cut and will be in the regular line-up soon!
