Little Dakota Smith is well on her way to recovery. The infant was photographed with mom, dad, and other family members earlier this week.
One candid was of Dakota getting cozy by the pool. “Loving the continuous…seen and un seen GROWTH within our Union,” doting dad JR Smith told Instagram fans. The star father also shared a beautiful picture of him and his kids sitting with his father.

“So many thoughts run through my mind looking at this picture,” JR said. “My Father an[d] myself with all of my children. The seat next to Peyton looks like it’s open but my Grandfather was sitting with us!! I felt his presence upon us. Unreal feeling but it was felt! Love you Grandpop!”

It was just a few weeks ago that little Dakota left the hospital after several months of intensive care treatment. The little one managed to pull through after a premature birth that had her parents on high alert.
“I could literally hold her in my hand,” JR told media. “You see your daughter go through…like in most of my life I’ve been able to be in control of everything and something like that, you have no control. And it’s your child and obviously, I would do anything for her. It hurt.”
Joy comes from pain as Dakota makes her family smile on a daily basis. “We Walked In Together We Walked Out Together,” JR wrote on Dakota’s big discharge day. The little one is JR and wife Jewel Harris-Smith’s third child. The couple also has daughters Demi and Peyton.
