AYESHA CURRY: MOM, WIFE, CHEF, AND NOW COVER GIRL!

From mom, to chef extraordinaire, to beautiful CoverGirl! There is nothing that Ayesha Curry cannot do. The celebrity mom, and wife of NBA star Stephen Curry, recently announced her entry into the cosmetics arena via her gig with one of the nation’s largest brands.

“My first makeup memory was running down the beauty aisles with my mom getting to pick my very own lipstick. It was a COVERGIRL pink glittery lipstick that made me feel so good about myself – even though it probably wasn’t my shade,” Ayesha told her Instagram fans on Wednesday. “Well, I am so excited to share that now I get to take my baby girls down those same aisles, and they get to see their mama as a #COVERGIRL,” the basketball wife exclaimed. “I am so honored and thrilled to join the iconic women of the #COVERGIRL family and be a part of a brand that empowers women to embrace their originality.”

Ayesha is setting quite the example for her girls, Riley and Ryan, when it comes to entrepreneurship. The star mom has a home goods line as well as a food delivery service that makes life easier for those constantly on-the-go.

“It’s such an honor,” Ayesha says of her latest venture down CoverGirl lane. “I remember my mom wearing CoverGirl,” she explains. “I have two little girls, four and one. My four-year-old is obsessed with makeup, and not through me! All on her own. But ultimately I’m teaching her that it’s not a necessity, it’s a treat. It’s a tool that you can use to transform yourself. I think that’s important. You don’t need the makeup. It just makes you feel fun and allows you to be creative. That’s what I love about it.”

Although she didn’t feel like the prettiest girl in school when growing up, Ayesha was able to establish self-confidence after becoming a mom. “When you become a mom, you gain this vulnerability that is so beautiful,” she explains. “Just the fact that I’m vulnerable but I’m never ashamed is so cool. I’m accepting of change and accepting of transforming myself at any given time necessary. At this point in my life, sometimes I have to be mom, sometimes I have to come to work, sometimes I have to be a wife. I love that I don’t ever have to be just one thing.”
