And of course, music mogul Timothy “Timbaland” Mosely and his wife Monique wouldn’t miss it. The couple, who have two children – Reign (6), as well as a son (10) from Monique’s previous relationship – are considered Great Future Philanthropists. They are also the founders of the Always Believing Foundation which similarly aims to foster the health and wellness of America’s children.

Timbaland explained: “My wife Monique and I founded the Always Believing Foundation in 2008 after years of talking about how we wanted to change the world as a family. Obesity is something I’ve struggled with my whole life. After becoming a father, this issue became even more important. I want my children to grow up to happy and healthy adults.”

Their dedication to improving the lives of the nation’s youth extends to the Boys and Girls Club, and to #Great Futures.

The Great Futures campaign looks to mobilize the nation in support of out-of-school programs. The campaign launch states: “America’s kids are in crisis. Our nation’s state of poor academic performance, obesity, drug use, and youth-related violence are cause for alarm and national action. A key component of the solution is out-of-school time. Yet every day, 15 million kids (1 in 4) leave school with no place to go, putting them at risk of being unsupervised, unguided and unsafe.”

It’s great to see not only celeb parents getting involved, but a young star, as well. In attending this event, Reginae Carter showed her support for a wonderful cause. To show your own support, visit  www.greatfutures.org.
