RILEY BURRUSS SHARES HER WEIGHT LOSS STORY

"I Didn't Think I Could Do It"

Just call her amazing. Riley Burruss, daughter of Kandi Burruss and Russell Spence, managed to lose a whopping 52 pounds within a matter of months, and now she’s ready to give insight into her journey.

“When I first started working out I didn’t really try as hard to lose weight because I didn’t think I could do it,” Riley admits. The teen was absolutely sold on the notion of weight loss after losing five pounds during Thanksgiving week of 2017. “That week really motivated me to keep going,” Riley shares. “That week was kind of the kick off to start really pushing myself.”

“Although I have a big goal, of course, I just kept going at ten pounds at a time,” she reveals. “I felt like that was something realistic that I could do,” she explains.

“Also something that can really help is having friends,” Riley continues. “I asked [my friends] to start training with me at the beginning. We created this group chat called ‘Team Get Fit’ to motivate each other.”

Miss Burruss doesn’t leave out the nutrition element of weight loss but instead advises her social media followers to substitute their junk food cravings for more healthier things in life. “Try to find a substitute for what you want,” Riley suggests. “Try to find something that’s healthy and tasty to you,” she says.
