Ameriie and her son, River Rowe Charles L. Nicholson, are all about diversity. Such is the reason why they praise Uber for its efforts to recognize people from all walks of life.
“A diverse world is an honestly depicted one, and it’s important that my son see himself reflected in books and media,” Ameriie said in a recent Instagram post sponsored by Uber. “I want him to be represented, to be seen and heard, and I want him to be strong in the belief that he can be part of a wonderful change in this world,” she explained.
“That’s why I can appreciate the steps @Uber has taken to support a positive, diverse environment,” Ameriie told her social media fan base. “Steps like creating within its larger community smaller communities across many lines, including racial and religious—UberHUE, Salam, UberPride, and Women of Uber, to name a few. It isn’t about being inclusive; it’s about reflecting reality.” Agreed!
Ameriie and her husband, Lenny Nicholson, welcomed their son on May 15, 2018. The celebrity mom shared a picture of her son just four weeks after giving birth. “One magical month later,” Ameriie shared online. “River, we love you and we’re so honored to be your parents, to be your foundation and your rock in this thing called life. God bless you, our beautiful son.”
