Congratulations to Chanel Iman and husband Sterling Shephard on the arrival of their daughter, Cai Clay Shepherd. The couple celebrated their little one’s arrival this past weekend.
“You were worth every push every contraction,” Iman told her daughter who was born on Friday, August 10, 2018. “Welcome to our world @caliclayshepard,” the celebrity mom wrote. “Love mommy and daddy @sterl_shep3.”
Sterling also expressed excitement over his daughter’s birth online. “Everything I do is for you two,” he told his daughter and wife. “My world,” Sterling said.
Chanel Iman and Sterling Shephard announced their expectancy of a child back in May. The couple made their confirmation in the cutest way with both Chanel and Sterling posing for a maternity photo shoot.
“Our fairytale continues as we wait for the birth of our baby,” The Shephards told PEOPLE exclusively. “As our love grows each day, Sterling and I can’t wait to share it with our little one,” Chanel said.
The model went on to gush about her pregnancy via social media. “We both are blessed in many different ways,” Chanel told her fans. “That our love has created a wonderful new life and can’t wait for this ultimate blessing to arrive. We thank God for allowing us this opportunity to become parents and can’t wait to hold our baby in our arms.”
