AMANDLA STENBERG ATTENDS VARIETY EVENT AND DEFENDS UPCOMING HOLOCUST FILM

Amandla Stenberg is known for her courageous fashion sense, tremendous talent, and staunch activism. Recently the young attended the Variety Magazine annual Power of Young Hollywood event at Sunset Tower Hotel in West Hollywood.

Amandla Stenberg is set to star in upcoming film “Where Hands Touch,” which has raised many eyebrows ahead of its release.

Set during the Holocaust, the film is a romantic period piece which revolves around the romance between two German teenagers. Sternberg portrays a young biracial woman who falls in love with a Hitler youth, and of course, the internet critics have criticized the piece stating that the drama is romanticizing Nazis.

Filmmaker Amma Asante defended her project stating on social media that, “This film does not romanticize Nazis in any way,” explaining that her project is a labor of love where she is able to highlight the existence of “Rhineland bastards,” the German children of color who grew during Hitler’s occupation.
