Since early this summer, Nine-year-old Skye Turner has been blowing audiences away with her performance of Patti LaBelle’s, ‘If Only You Knew.’ The little one’s stage presence is so incredible that the one and only Patti LaBelle has given her high marks.
“Sing Skye,” LaBelle shared along with a clip of the up-and-coming star belting out the words to the song. “Sing Baby,” Patti exclaimed. “You are awesome.” Indeed, she is.
Thousands saw a snippet of Sky’s performance on Patti LaBelle’s page and could not help but comment on what they beheld. “Sang girl,” one fan said. “That young lady is blessed with a voice,” another of Patti LaBelle’s followers said.
Skye Turner has also received viral attention for her voice because of Jane McGarry. The TV news anchor invited the youngster to participate in a segment of Good Morning Texas and Skye absolutely killed it with an impromptu performance of Andra Day’s ‘Rise Up.’
“Very talented,” one fan said. “She’s a real cutie,” another follower wrote online. Some fans suggested Skye and her family to “contact the Rangers or the cowboys, or the Mavericks, or the stars, and ask if she can sing the national anthem.” That would be interesting, wouldn’t it?
There is no telling how far Skye’s voice and an overall knack for entertainment will take her in the coming years. You should definitely keep your eyes and ears open for this talented young lady.
