Shamea Morton and husband Gerald Mwangi are new parents! The couple welcomed their daughter on Thursday, November 28, 2018.
Shamea took to Instagram within a few hours after giving birth to her daughter at Northside Hospital Women’s Center. “I’m officially a mom,” Morton exclaimed. “I have a whole new respect for women and our bodies,” she added. “Childbirth is nothing short of a miracle. I feel so blessed to have had this experience. I don’t take my life nor my child’s life for granted. A ‘Birthday’ has a whole new meaning to me,” the new mom concluded.
Shamea Morton and Gerald Mwangi announced their expectancy earlier this year. “I am due around Thanksgiving,” the then-mom-to-be revealed. “No one knew except my husband and my sister,” Shamea continued. “Porsha was trying to give me Hennessy, I was telling her I was waiting for my birthday to drink. She knew I was lying, she was like, ‘B-tch you are pregnant.'”
Morton and her husband took to Instagram on Thanksgiving Day to commemorate the holiday while showing fans how they were preparing for their baby girl. “Happy Thanksgiving from my family to yours,” Shamea wrote online. “Rest up, eat up, and give thanks for your life, health, strength, and sanity. God is Good!”
