Kehlani celebrated the impending birth of her baby this past weekend with a second baby shower with Javie Young White and other family friends. The bash was held in Oakland, California, and Kehlani took lots of pictures.

The mommy-to-be shared one candid of her mom and dad at the party. Kehlani was photographed while kissing her father on the cheek. “I love my family,” the recording artist said. “I love the love you all have for my daughter,” Kehlani said.

Several fans commented on Kehlani’s baby glow at her second shower. “You got the mommy glow,” one social media follower said. Another of Kehlani’s Instagram fans said, “This baby is going to be so loved. The power of such a positive upbringing will be insurmountable. I’m ready to be inspired.”

News of Kehlani’s pregnancy began to spread last year. The recording artist revealed her unborn child’s name, Adaya Nomi, during her first baby shower, which was filled with celebrities. Kehlani used Bree’s Cakes and designer Nicky Parks for her party’s coordination details. The mom-to-be used the two vendors during her first baby shower as well.

There is much love surrounding Kehlani and Javie Young White’s expectancy. With loads of excitement, though, comes a bit of criticism that Kehlani has definitely faced.

“I’ve gotten everything from ‘I thought she was a lesbian’ to ‘she was using queerness to promote her career, then went and betrayed us with a man’ to ‘her baby father is just a sperm donor,” Kehlani recently said of the backlash she received after news of her pregnancy spread.

“Whatever makes you feel your safest, in your truest identity, you should identify as such without being policed by the same community you are supposed to feel most safe with,” the mom-to-be said.

Kehlani and Javie Young White are expecting their child to arrive in the coming weeks. The little one will be the celebrities’ first child together.
